Day 3

Zack took us to Quartz Creek to fly fish today. The Sockeye salmon have turned red and are spawning. You can see them in the crystal clear water. The trout and Dolly (rainbow trout) eat the salmon eggs. They also bite on painted beads. My first time ever trout fishing I caught three fish in less than 15 minutes. Drew and Zack caught tons of fish! Jackson touched his first fish.

We went to the closest grocery store which is 40 miles away. We stopped at the local brewery and had some blackberry beer and stout. We had the most amazing Chinese food for dinner. Yes, we are aware we are in Alaska.

Fun Fact: Alaskans consume more ice cream per capital than any other state in the U.S.

Jackson flipped from a sitting position to a crawling position. Maybe he will walk and crawl at the same time.
